With the key on or running push the dome light over ride button 4 times within 6 seconds and that turns them off til the next key cycle

you cna also partially depress the e-brake pedal, and it keeps em off until u pull the release.... you can depress it far enough to turn off the lights but not engage the e-brake

I've got a '98 Sonoma and the info in the following link worked for both DRL & AHL ... I imagine it's the same for all GM trucks. Good luck. It's great not having the lights flip on automatically in the garage every morning.

The parking brake depressing only works on old body style but the dome light button works on 99-01 per the shop manual and it works on my 01 chevy 1500 pick up

just a question, why is everyone so anxious to turn off the auto lights?? i personally like them because i dont have to worry with them. i really like them on other peoples cars that cant seem to turn their lights on when it is very foggy or raining hard and noone can see them. or when it is dark outside.

It's a control thing. I don't like the government -- or big corporations -- dictating to me how I should live my daily life. I mean, it's already bad enough, so control of MY vehicle should be in MY hands -- not in those of some bureaucrat.

I guess, it's a pet peeve!!

ps But, I must admit that I, too, really like them on OTHER people's cars!
