1989 GMC Seirra 1500 Exhaust manifolds Hello all, I am new to this forum and this is my first post. It may very well be in the wrong location but I didn't see a parts wanted section............ I am looking for a set of good exhaust manifolds for my 1989 GMC Seirra 1500 with a 305 cid in it. They do not have the EGR tubes going to them. Any help or direction on where I could find a good set (used) for cheap would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site: That sounds like a dealer item unfortunately, but you may have some luck with local exhaust shop. I just looked on evil bay, and found several sets for around $20.00 (U.S.), since they are cast iron, shipping might be expensive, but at least they are cheap.

pretty sure that they are cheap because there is not much demand for them. Other than you, how many people are actually looking for a factory exhaust manifold? Have never heard of anyone saying "man I really need a set of those factory manifolds", usually most upgrade to headers. Not convinced that the quality of those online are poor, and sure those are take offs. Who is actually going to make a replica? Is a header upgrade not a good idea? Did you break an existing one?

This is the link to the part on e-bay. They sure look new, I don;t think they are take-offs. Someone made a replica. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EXHAU...spagenameZWDVW That is why I need new ones. I would prefer to stay stock and not go with a header | |

Those do look like a Chineese product, but if you are having trouble finding a factory replacement, I wouldn't hesitate trying that. It looks alright, and as long as it fits, it should last a while. That has got to be something that local guys are taking off of their trucks, or at least muffler shops have to be removing them when they have customers that are upgrading to headers.
