steering problem solved (i think)

well, i did a little computer searching about my truck and found out it has a steering speed sensor that determines the assist the power steering gives by the speed of the truck. one 40 dollar sensor later and i'm as good as new... i think. no more worrying about trees while taking corners for me.

Glad you got it fixed. My 97 chevy would do that going around corners sometimes. steering would be tight half way through then bam easy steering and soiled pants! Didnt think about it before.

I'm having a problem w/ my 1997 z-71. I have had all the front end parts replaced still dont feel right. i have replaced upper and lower ball joints, all tie rod ends, ideler arms, drag link ,front alinement, and it still feels squirrly in corners at high speed. It feels like its out of alinement. Does anybody know what i'm experiencing

Good chance it is the same sensor that Mud replaced. It is located at the base of the steering column under the dash.
