Ahh an LX, never been my style, I would take the extra GVW of a GT over an LX strictly for looks
E303, I had that cam (now hubby does), I really didn't like it, you have to adjust the idle higher and get that little thingie for the IAB before you get a decent idle and doesn't lump so much it shuts off a cold engine. I probably would have ditched it, if it wasn't for the fordchip I got that finally helped. I liked the X cam my friend had better, to bad it wasn't CA legal.

Just wondering what IAB was (IAC maybe) and also what thingy are you meaning I have an idle prob it likes the 1100 mark when warm and drops to roughly 700 when it wants to.... thought of replacing the iac to correct as for cold shut off yup get the same but doesnt matter to me.. I just have stock pewter and the power ban is from 2200 to 6000 for an e303 lots of power and you didnt like wow... Other then the idle thing I love it but like body style everyone has a taste and mine is the coupe hehe love the coupe and believe it or not there is less coupes made then convertables and hatches lead the way in production (just info passing on) BUT curious on the thingy if you could find out would appreciate it and nice talkin to you about stangs they are my first love over the truck haha!!!

I was trying to find the name of the "thingie" I found it referred to as "idle air adjustment plate"
It goes between the IAC (I always call it the IAB )and TB, I got it from a ford dealership

While looking for the part number I found some of my old posts which brought up another thing that helped, getting a Pro-M MAF over the other aftermarket (C&L) MAF I had before made the biggest difference. Its been so long since I messed with my pony I forgot all the hoops I had to jump through to get it to idle so I could drive it more than at the track.

Ok.. back in 2003 this was the part number for it, it did not come stock on mustangs atleast
