I'm new here, too
Just wanted to say hello from Louisiana and ask a couple of questions:
I am going to replace my '97 Sierra (bought new) in a couple of months with (probably) a brand-new Silverado or Avalanche. I've read many things about programmers, performance chips and the like, and am wondering if these things are worth the money spent on them. I want to be able to squeeze every extra mpg I can out of my new ride. Also, do these things void a new vehicle warranty? |

Howdy and Welcome!
as far as the programmer goes they don't "void" the warranty. The dealer has to be able to prove that the programmer caused whatever damage was done. And yes they can improve mileage (no major gain though) but most people will not see the extra mileage because the fun factor goes up as well...
