Hello folks....

Just a short introduction of myself and my truck....

I own a 97 Chevy C1500 with the 5.7 vortec....I bought it from my brother-in-law a couple years ago for $700. It came with 2 cracked heads, cracked timing chain cover, busted water pump and in need of some serious TLC. The body is in decent shape (or was

) ....the interior was filthy....actually had a 3 inch layer of sticky gunk in the pass floor board!

Well, I jumped into it with both feet and sunk about $1500 worth of parts, doing all the work myself. Had her running soon after and she has run like a champ since....until now!

Which brings me here.

Look forward to talking with everyone....hopefully all my questions are easy fixes....and maybe I can throw in a cent or 2 worth of advice every now and then myself.

bring on the problems, might take a day or two but usually someone can help find a solution to just about anything , but BIL's

From Houston, but live in Tomball now....The Hawg refers to fishing....if I could get my avatar to work y'all would see what I mean....

know where both places are. but i tomball is still a bit of a drive from me. but at least there is another fisherman here in TX. dont feel so lonely anymore.

Any time you want to hook up and hit the water let me know....I go out just about every weekend and usually stay the whole weekend. I fish the San Jac, Lake Houston and Lake Conroe....along with a few hidden honey holes....
