Stitz Love is on a distinguished road
Another NC truck owner

Some ID;
Stitz Love (one of many stage names from when I performed stand up comedy.)
Location: Triangle area of North Carolina (Raleigh)
Nearly 50 and been with “Lil” for four years (and looking forward to the rest of them.)
Have owned more trucks, vans, cars and motorcycles than I can remember. (Got my first motorcycle in 1972, (1st. car in ’75) been riding and driving (and working on ‘em) since.
Relevant to this forum, 8 or more trucks and vans over the years and last month (April ’09) purchased 1990 Chevy truck. (Photos posted in profile album, “the White Whale.”)

As introduction, I would like to acknowledge the reason I joined this forum.
As mentioned I purchased 1990 Chevy Cheyenne from its second owner. (Details can be found in my first post; search, ‘transmission mystery TH400’)
I began poking around the internet for information on one part/issue or another, and noticed the counsel given on this forum regarding similar questions was professional, knowledgeable, respectful, courteous and HELPFUL.
Having been a member of a few other forums, (two motorcycle [Yamaha,, Honda] and Nissan older pickups) I could see that this is a group I would like to associate with.
It is evident I will get intelligent information and help here from folks far more mechanically savvy than I.
I hope to be able to offer some help in return… or at least some humor.
With few exceptions, most of my trucks and vans have been 10 years old (or older) and so required some work. I became a DIY, to save some $ and to learn something.
In most cases that was the result, but there has been the time or two where I made (or met) a bigger repair than I could handle. Another result is my library of Chilton and Haynes manuals.
Anyway, it’s nice to make y’alls acquaintance. “Good health and Cheers!”

The big problem with your theory

Thanks for the answers to my first post regarding the TH400, AND for making me feel welcome.

(Update on truck will be posted soon on tranny thread.)

To Camino Kid... the Bike I'm on in my avatar is a 1997 Virago 1100.
Regret selling that one! Last Bike was a Honda PC-800. I'll post a photo of that one when I find it. (miss that bike too, but the Virago was better on the HWY.)
