Check Engine light and overdrive light on

I have a 96 ranger, 4 cylinder, and the engine light came on and then the overdrive light started flashing. When I had it checked it gave a code that said the transimission solenoid circuit was stuck off. I had he transmission solenoids replaced and the transimission serviced. The codes were erased and the truck did fine for a day. Again the engine light came on and after about 10 miles the overdrive light started flashing again. The engine light comes on when you start the truck and the overdrive light comes on when you have gone a short distance. The truck seems to run ok. Any suggestions. Thanks
