99 c-10 starting help needed

hello eveyone . i have a 1999 c-10 silverado with a 4.3, when i go to start the truck it will run for about 3sec. and act like it is running out of fuel. it may start and run for a week and all of a suuden wont run again. i have changed the fuel pump, filter, cap and rotor, plugs, plug wires and i am in need of some help. any suggestions would be great thanks mike

what noises are ya gettin when tryin to crank? it tryin to turn over? starter clicking? nothing? it sounds like it may be an electrical issue

I don't know if the newer ones have relays for the fuel pump although i'm pretty sure they still do. That is where I would start

thanks for the answers. to the 72 caminokid the engine does turn over i can keep it running with short shots of starting fluid it will run about 2 sec and then just dies out.
to mrjohnjayne i am going to take your suggestion and purchaces a relay and try that. i did purchase one with the fuel pump but ret it. thank u very much. will let u know how it goes
