new and looking to buy a truck sometime

Hi. Actually I have a truck, but it's a beater. 62 GMC 1ton 305V6 with a lot of rust, no bed or flatbed, no headlights, no heater, well you get the picture. It was free though.

I'm leaning towards a Dodge ram. Something around a 94 on up, and figured I could find out more about them in here.

cant tell you alot about those particular models but if your driving that and it works for you, look for one with the 318. it is a VERY dependable engine that is easy to work with and is cheaper with parts and gas.

Well, when there's holes in every body part, including light coming in right above the windshield, I'm inclined to keep an eye out for another one in better condition, and use the free beater for parts. Or I could find a flatbed somewhere, throw it on there, mess with the wiring and get some lights, clean it up and drive it. It isn't something I'd want to take on long trips though. Especially at 6-8mpg.
