And besides, getting an education and the training through the armed forces would probably benifit you in your job of choice. I mean Pete, not all truckers are laughs, some are bullies and complete """""""" anyways, having some tringing in self-discipline and control would definitely benifit you. However, I know how it feels, I chose not the military myself, though my brother joined the air force.
Anyways, my whole point in my last post was meant to be a joke. Not WILL you have to change your name WHEN your dreams collapse and you have to flip burgers for a living, but rather, would you HAVE to change it just to remember that is what you do? LOL.... For the record, I applaud your goals, and sincerely hope they work out for you. Just do not be fooled into thinking it is all champaign wishes and caviar dreams my friend! Get behind on a load or side swipe a fire hydrant, (which a close friend of mine did, TWICE!! LOL) or even worse, fall asleeep at the wheel and that dream will die fast! It is good if you remain single too, but it will murder a relationship! Remember it is 10-12 hours of straight driving, four hours of sleep then back to driving again. It is and can be a very very stressfull career choice. Trust me, my Father has been a trucker since he could drive, and I seriously looked into it myself. My daughter was my reason not to, but there is a lot you do not see. Those truckers have no one to talk to, and you are a kid, they are not going to scare you off, those appreciation conversations are really the few things that keep them sane! Always plan for the bad and hope for good. Alls I am saying.

yeah, i undersatnd that trucking can be very dangerous and very seculsive from people, and that most truckers dont want to face me with the facts when i chat with them, but i love big rigs, even i fi do have a family i will still drive, maybe not otr but locally, so i can come home everyday. i love everything about trucking and i know that it takes alot to get started, lots of monies, lol, and experience, you have to constantly be the big man instead of being careless, you have to watch out for other drivers and everything like that, but i dont think my dream of trucking will change, cuz im determined to be one.
