| oil viscosity wont cause rocker tick. The more lubrication you have even with thicker oils will actually dampen the sound. rocker noise 90% of the time is casued by the rockers themself being loose. I'm betting that the dealer you bought it from, infact didn't change the oil,and dirty oil which has lost all of its viscosity and has a heavy build up of acid drains into the pan really quickly, leaving nothing to lubricate the engine properly. Older & high mileage engines should always run thicker oil as well as an additive like Lucas.
