holloway2005 is on a distinguished road
got any ideas?

my next door neighbor has a mazda pickup: so here is the problem...it idles fine or seems to...but when she presses on the gas it continuously sounds like she is reving it...it jus keeps goin up then cutting off and dropping down, but not like a rev limiter...no engine code is displaying on the dash, and the light is not blown...any suggestions?

what year? fuel injected or carb? did this just start or has this been a ongoing problem. did they recently do any work to the truck. it sounds like the Idle control circuit to me. or a loose vacuum line
does it do this in drive or just in park? can you drive the truck or does it die in drive?
have you activated the diagnostic mode or scanned the codes?

the more info you give us the more we can help
