B3000 Tailgate Liner

Hey, new guy here.

I know the answer might be on this site somewhere but I couldn't find it. I got an '02 B3000 and I want to put a stock tailgate liner on. It is a rigid plastic liner that goes on the inside of the tailgate and goes OVER the lip of the tailgate too.

You see, I cut that lip off to get a clean install on a tonneau cover, and now I want to go back to the way it was.

Anyway, does anybody know if the 'O2 Mazda B3000 and the '02 Ford Ranger tailgate liners are the same/interchangeable? Reason I ask is there is one on ebay.....

Mine has, and I can't recall the exact number, but I think it's 8 torx head screws that fasten the thing on there.

I assume this is what you are talking about?

Sorry, I love photobucket... anyways...

To answer your question YES. Most of the parts from the Ranger and B-series pickups have been interchangable since 1998... I have learned this myself in the many repairs I have done to this one.... You should be fine if you order a Ford one.

haha, I'd like to buy yours, but I already got the truck!

yep, that liner that goes over the tailgate, if I could find me one of them I'd be a happy camper for sure.

I, stupid as I am sometimes, cut mine off so my tonneau cover would fit on there nice, and now I'm wishin' I hadn't.

Maybe I could just buy a lip cover and put on it, that might work.

thanks for the info.

Was that the only plastic seen if the truck bed is closed or the whole part of it? I think, lots of trucks have the similar size and design for that. You can look at some mazda oem parts anywhere especially in the net or you may ask some of your friends.
