well i went out and sprayed WD on the cable and while i was out there i started it and played with the throttle and when i turned the throttle manually about a 1/16th of a turn the motor would rev right out.

yeah i would say you have a bad injector or throttle position sensor.... i would try the tps before doin the injectors cause they can cuase more problems if not done right

no i dont think so.. i have never heard of that... im pretty sure there calibrated from the factory with in a set parameter.... i know you can use an ohm meter to check it but not to install it... i would do a lttle digging on the specs of your tps and check your out with an ohm meter... i think it like 0.5 volts and it should climb with the throttle position as you throttle up... al it is is a resister that adds more or less resistance as you go up... if yours goes up from 0.5 then jumps up dramically as soon as you hit that 1/16 mark then that is your problem...
