4x4 low light will not come on

1996 mazda b4000
the light worked as well as 4 low when i bought it 3 months ago, now neither works. 4 high works fine. i have auto hubs and M\T. also a 3 point selector on dash 2wd, 4high, and 4 low any help or where to start

i would assume bad bulb. such like that is probably in the switch and near impossible to replace unless you are one of type people.

well i see the light come on when i start the truck up, so.......... i suppose maybe the switch on the dash board, i am just a wee bit nervous about taking apart the whole dash to get to the switch YUCK

Then perhaps the light is not coming on (correctly) because it's not engaging.
May want to do a visual under truck for connections.

i think your right because i don't hear anything engage when i put it in 4 low, i do hear the module click and the drive shaft go into gear though when i put it in 4 high. i suppose i will start with the switch on the dash tomorrow, then underneath.
