| My husband has no experience with a hydralic clutch. What is happeneing is... It will go into gear fine right when I start it, I'll drive down the street and come to a stop at a light. When I go to shift back into first it will not go no matter what. If we turn the truck off and then back on it will go. ALSO, if we do get the truck into gear sometimes it won't come out....I put it in reverse to back out of a spot and when I went to go forward it wouldn't come out of gear. I finally got it stopped and then it wouldn't go into first. This happened 2 days ago, my husband checked the fluid and it was just a little low. We filled it up and it ran FINE the rest of the day and all day yesterday. Today it did it again. Can anyone help? |

| sounds to me like you've got a leak somewhere in the line. idk how its setup on the year truck you have but it could be a faulty slave cylinder or maybe just a loose fitting. hopefully for you the slave is located on the outside of the bell housing because if not we're talking about pulling the tranny and all to get to it. good luck to you and by the way the warranty issuer sucks if the truck is brand new and they wont warranty the drive train.

| it dont matter whether its running or not, its not a power system like the brakes. anyways, if you crack the bleeder screw open and are pumping the pedal you should get more than a tiny squirt, if you keep pumping it and the fluid level doesnt change then it sounds to me like the clutch master cylinder isnt working so i would make good and sure you've got the bleeder screw opened up good and if no fluid is coming out besides a little from just gravity flow then i would say that you need to change the master cylinder. hopefully that information will help you get started. if its just a master cylinder, you might get help from the warranty??? but not sure, if not its an easy fix for your husband to do and not to expensive.

| Thankyou so much. He's left for work now but I'll phone him and let him know. I really hope that's all that's wrong. I'm gonna go back and read the warranty if I can find it. |

| Well, we won't know what's wrong for sure until tomorrow but I called the dealership I bought the truck from and they said if that was the problem it WAS under warranty as well as anything that wasn't the clutch plates. I guess the original person either didn't know that or didn't feel like going into detail. I'll keep ya posted. Thanks again |

| We can't find a master cylinder.....My husband seems to think that air got into the lines when the fluid was low and created pockets which would explain why it worked and then didn't. Then we unknowingly put more air in so we've been working on getting out the air. The manuel we have says to let gravity do the work but that isn't working. Now he undoes the plug, I push on the clutch, he puts the plug back on and I release the clutch This seems to be moving a tiny bit of fluid through at a time....any suggestions? |

| yeah you can sometimes just loosen your bleeder and let it sit and just let the fluid gravity flow out and get rid of the air, just take the cap off the master cylinder or fluid reservoir if its not connected to the master cylinder and make sure you keep it full as it gravity flows the fluid out of the bleeder screw. if you cant get any of the things youre trying to work i would just have it looked at by your mechanic.
