Miles Between Fill Ups

Those with a B2600i, how many miles are you able to go before having to fill up?

When it is freshly tuned-up and running good, it should go about 300 miles on a tank. your tank should be about 15 gallons, right? and the 2.6l should do about 18-22 mpg which should give you about 300 miles to your tank. Should anyways.

(I have read recently that vehicles tend to be tuned to run a minumum of 320 miles to a tank, some fed regulation I guess. that is y some vehicles have only ten gallon tanks and why some trucks have 40 gallon tanks. I thought that was interesting, and I figured I would edit this and add this in. Didn't feel like adding another post....lol.)

I only get about 100 miles to a tank with my 2600i. Still can't figure out why.

Sandtiger--You might try a tune up make sure and buy good brand wires compare what OEM wires run compare to the regular auto parts store I know on my MPV it has this like vacuum advance dealy that when it's not working it will have less power and bad gas mileage read up on it or go to www.mpvclub.com and use the search button see what you can find on this. Good luck!

Well, the truck has been thoroughly looked at. Many things have been replaced or rebuilt. All the obvious stuff has been done (and some not so obvious too) Nothing has changed. It actually runs great, has lots of power etc. just the poor mileage. I have pretty much resigned it to short trips since gas prices have gone up.

I just got a b2600I - and when I checked my first tank, I got a little over 23 mpg so I guess that's pretty good.
