Not selling anything, just offering a discount if you were in the market. IT stuff is fun, but then I've been doing it so long that it's second nature now.
-
sounds like you are selling something. i am going to let you in on a secret that noone here knows. i am the biggest idiot when it comes to IT around here. how i became a mod, i have no idea. i am still taking lessons on posting pics. the only reason i know Vbulletin is because it stares at me when i go into the control panel. but i make it sound good anyways, right??

Right now I've got the one at spwaw.com, and I manage two others for friends... geekstorage.com and matrixgames.com
If you need hosting I highly recommend geekstorage as they have excellent customer service, probably the best I've ever experienced. Tell 'em Bernie sent you and ask about their discounts and specials.

i am still learning this thing. every so often, ill run into something new that i didnt know. it still has its bugs, but cant really blame that on the software as that might not be a programming problem.
how many forums do you have??
-
Yeah, you could say I have a passing acquaintance with it... though for my own forums I run PHPBB2. Been doing forums since the days of BBS's, back in the early 80's. I'm also the senior mod on my hosting company's web forums, and a senior mod over at Matrix Games.

familiar with VBulletin?? hopefully, in the near future, they will upgrade up again with some new toys.
-
Got it... This is a feature of VBulletin I never used before.

helpful hint, bernieb.
when you type in this window under your own profile, it will not show up on the other persons page alerting them that there is a message. look underneath this text here and to the right and you will see View Conversation. click on that and it will send you to a new window that shows text between only those 2 people. this enables you to send them a message and them be notified that you have responded. otherwise, they will never know unless they come back to your page.
