Ok thanks man. I got another question. I have an Edelbrock performance series 4BBL and when I give it the gas to go and floor it. It pauses for a second and then rolls out. Is that the 4 barrel opening up?

Plus I have to push the gas down when cranking it up. Will that hurt anything?

yup. Thats abput all there is to it. DO make sure that the rails are clean and the valve covers are straight. Dont over tighten them or you can cause a leak.

Hey bud. How hard is it to put new valve cover gaskets on?

Do I just unscrew the bolts on the valve covers and then put the gaskets on?

Well the bushing is out of the peice (if you can remember from my old thread about it). The bolt on the steering column is to big and is loose. Then my upper steering column where the steering wheel is, is real loose and I can basically move the steering wheel peice in a 360. It may have a brother peice inside or something.

I might just have to replace the whole steering column from the gear box up to the steering wheel.

When I go on a curve, the truck turns good. I reckon cause of gravity or something but then on a straight way. I have to keep moving the steering wheel to keep the truck on the right side of the road.

What year? 73 to 77 were different than the 78/9 units (includes the 77.5).
DO you want a tilt, not tilt, tilt with cruise, auto or manual. I even have the rarist of them all, the 79 manual tilt with cruise. Many have only read about these and some do not even know they exist. Super spendy but I have them.
WHich do you need and what is wrong with yours?

Glad you got her going. Too bad you are not here in CA. I have several complete trucks that have plenty of parts to be removed.
