IF you are not driving it, why insure it. Just let the insurance co know its non op right now so you want to drop it until its running again. But, do keep in mind, do you get a multi car discount? I insure my Yota Rolla full coverage, but I get a $30 month mutli car discount on my Yota Rolla, and it cost me $30 month to insure my Box Van, so my box van is being insured for FREE actually, cuz I get multi car discount on it too, and then the 84 gets multi car discount too. Its only $140 month to insure my box van, my 84 3/4 ton truck, and my Yota Rolla with full coverage. And I have 50,000, 100,000, 50,000 limits instead of 15,30,15 that would not cover crud in a serious accident.

That might be a good idea. Just bolt that thing back together and use it for a core if the guys you bought it from are not going to give anything back on it. In a way, I am sure they did not do it on purpose, but them being mechanics should have known the heads needed worked on before they sold it to you as a running motor.

Awesome, so did get the C6 Trans that went with it? Oh you are doing manual trans right? That ought to be a runnin mofo. I would start a post about the engine to get some others Ideas. I am not a big Ford Guru, so I am a bit ignorant on the Ford Stuff.

You need a new cab? Are you asking is it easier to change the cab from a 2wd or transfer all your 4wd drivetrain and suspension to the 2wd? I'd thnk the 2wd cab to the 4wd chassis would be eaiser. still alot of work. I'd ask 75, he familiar with those truck bodies.

Huh, me buy a Ford courier??? No bub, thats the wrong breed for me. I only buy a Ford if I am going to carry alot of weight or a work truck, like my Ford Box Van. That might be a good project for some Ford lover to put a 289 or 302 in and make it go for once in its life.

yup. Thats abput all there is to it. DO make sure that the rails are clean and the valve covers are straight. Dont over tighten them or you can cause a leak.

What year? 73 to 77 were different than the 78/9 units (includes the 77.5).
DO you want a tilt, not tilt, tilt with cruise, auto or manual. I even have the rarist of them all, the 79 manual tilt with cruise. Many have only read about these and some do not even know they exist. Super spendy but I have them.
WHich do you need and what is wrong with yours?

Glad you got her going. Too bad you are not here in CA. I have several complete trucks that have plenty of parts to be removed.

75 will be the go to guy on that. He knows those trucks inside out. I have not seen him on the forum in awhile though.

Just don't get caught. If its over with that other chick, then your set. Now you only have 1 to deal with. If she isn't sneaking out with you, she'll be sneaking out with someone.
