I'm just going to carry my block and stuff to rebuild shop and let them fix it up and get me heads

I got it from a scrap yard. Engine ran good when I got it.

What do you think I should do since my heads are no good? People telling me to just get rid of the block and dont worry about it. People telling me to just carry it to a rebuild shop.

Ya it is my father well mother in laws car and they had it replaced about 3yrs ago so time again I quess. I think the lower intake is part of the other half of the head I will take a pic and you guys let me know if I am way wrong, but that is how it looks.

everytime i am on the forum at home, my son begs me to click on the avatar or profile pic. he thinks mater is awesome. showed him the dog pics in the album and thats all he wants to look at then.

I know this is a Truck forum, buuut Do you know if when replacing a lower intake gasket on a GM 3.1L if the valve covers need to come off. I know that the push rods need to come off and are different lengths(removal of the push rods makes me think cover need to be off). Thanks for any 411.

I just got a 71 Lincoln 460. What do I need to get to put it in my 79 bud?

i havent cooked on that thing in a while. i am really wanting to go all out and slop some ribs and briskets on there but things are a bit hectic at the moment. ill have to send you a PM about that later on. thought about tearing up the hole again but with all the rain, i believe we are going out on the road this go round. the roads get awesomely bad and requires a bit of skill not to end up in the ditch. one could ride out a fish tail over half a mile on that one road and stay in the road. if we go, ill shoot yall some pics, maybe. tearing up county roads here are illegal and not advisable. i would never do anything like that.
