I'll holler back at you Brad to give you an update. Thank goodness I'm not afoot and have 2 other vehicles here at the house - just don't want to be seen in a 1984 Olds Cutlass Calais, so I'm driving a '94 Ford panel van. Catch ya later.
i understand about being stuck, broke down, and afoot when the trucks arent running. this is the main reason why i always have at least 2 running vehicles. maybe your deal will end up on a positive note with very little coming out of your pocket. times are tough so we really have to buckle up and get something going. do let me know how everything works out for ya.
Located inside the Loop (between downtown and 610 West). Whining noise from rear axle when coasting and no noise that I can hear when accelerating. When I removed the oil from differential, I found tiny particles and very dark oil. BradRHale has been helping me on this forum and he thinks it's bearings in rear end. A guy at Discount Auto Parts (previously a driveshaft company off I-10 West) rode with me and said it was differential, too.
