Horn Q

On a 96 truck the horn want work. I thank it is something under the air bag on the wheel. How do you get the air bag and horn off the wheel? Thanks Alvin

i would bet your problem is the horn itself that is behind your grill. the only thing behind the steering wheel is a ground wire that completes the circuit.

hook a test light to the wire going to the horn under the hood and have someone push the button, this will tell you if the wires are good and button is functioning

I am not getting any fire at the horn.

check your fuses.. usually its the same one as the radio or cig lighter... if the fuse is good i would check the stearign wheel then... the cover should just pop off if there isnt any mounting bolts onthe back of the wheel.. should be 8 mm or phillips

ok trace the wire to the horn relay and see what you have

id say open the hood, turn on all your auxiliary then push the horn if you here a click then its time for a new horn. i got the same problem with my truck. i found that revving the engine gets people to move faster any way!!!
