91 Nissan truck cutting out

My cousin has a 91 Nissan Pickup with a 4cyl and 5 speed trans 2wd. It runs great until it gets to operating temperature and then when you go to take off it cuts out and sputters real bad. I dont know what this problem could be, we checked the plugs and cleaned them for now until we can replace them and have replaced 2 of the plug wires because we messed them up, again waiting to replace the others, he doesnt have much money hes 16 so kinda limited on money, we have checked the fuel filter too, he also cleaned the distributor cap points. im stumped so any info would be appreciated. thanks alot

cutting out after warming up could be an ignition coil problem. have you verified good spark??

check you wires. do a spark test on each one. do not do a visual as this will not tell you if you have an internal break. also check the coil. this sounds like a good place to start with from what you have described.
does this only happen at a specifc point relative to how much gas you have in your tank??

the coil went completely out yesterday on it, now we put a junk yard one on it and it does the same thing but worse. it happens after warmed up and worst of all when trying to take off but now cutting out on the highway too so im not sure what to do. we have replaced 2 of the plug wires so far but he hasnt replaced the other 2 yet, we are in dire straights here so hopefully someone has some insight on this problem.
