air in the system will raise the temp a bit. did you try purging the system?? with the engine cold, remove the cap and start the engine. let it run and warm up. once the coolant reaches the 160-195 degree mark, you will see coolant start swirling around in the radiator. the level will drop a bit as the coolant fills any open voids such as the upper radiator hose. keep adding coolant to the top until it doesnt take anymore. put the cap back on and this should clear you of any air trapped. dont worry about over filling the system. any excess will be delivered into the over flow and returned when the coolant cools down and contracts into a normal state.

Well on top of that it seems my power steering is on the fritz. When I crank the wheel it squeals and gets hard to turn. Yesterday i lost all power steering. I managed to change out a belt and it really did the trick. Now today its doing the same thing but only when the truck is stopped. The belt was on its last thread and ready to break. As for fluid, there is some in there. Quick fixes???
