| my hardbody has the 2.4 SOHC. if it wasnt a 5 speed i'd junk it. the acceleration is bad enough as it is.

| Yeah, I just can't have an auto trans with a 4 cyl. Just bout pointless. 4cyl makes most of its power at higher rpms, so you don't want to run a high stall at all, and the auto trans robs the little torque the motor may have. My Yota Rolla with a 1.8 runs fairly decent for the size of the motor and the mpg, but its a 5 speed. I have a buddy with one too, but his is auto. He can not believe the differance. Same motor, body and all, but I am can leave him at a light like he's sitting still and probalby beat him in the 1/4 by 5 or 6 lengths. And I get 2 mpg better than he does.
