| New member, timing problem etc Have a 86.5 hardbody with 260K miles. Changing the timing belt, tensioner ,water pump, cam and crank seals this week. Lots of work but saving money. Its set up to be towed by RV. How should I tow, what gear etc. ? Can I clean the injectors, can this be a problem with loss of power, passes smog. Also, while trying to get balancer off messed up timing, belt skipped on crank so marks are off from cam marks. How do I set up initial timing, get all marks set correct. Another question, can not locate the groove on block to match up dot on crank gear. Should be on bottom right of oil pump cover below and just to right of crank gear per manual (but not there). Any help there ? I have lined up the cam marks and rotor is pointing to dot on dist and #1 plug. Thanks for any info. |

| tow in nuetral. they make injector cleaner for the purpose that you are looking for and can lead up to loss of performance. |
