| Know anything about Portable Generators? Just curious if anyone could help me. I have a Portable Gasoline generator that works if I could get the generator seperated from the 8HP briggs/Stratton engine so I can rebuild the engine. I disasembled it all the way down to having the rotor still attached to the engine and was afraid I would destroy it not knowing how it's attached. Any suggestions for diassembly? Thanks

| doesnt the rotor just slide onto the crank shaft with a key or setscrew? on ours the actual generator is just bolted to the crankcase and once that is unbolted then you can remove the entire generator unit without having to screw with anything it just slides over the shaft. maybe yours if different. |
