Teach me about Milling Machines

I am looking at used mills but I know very little about them. This is one I am very interested in. How much should I spend and is it a good machine to get

van norman is a excellent older name brand ,nice and heavy to dampen vibrations .hard to move ,make sure you get it level if you get it moved .not sure on prices , but looks like a $1800.00 to $2000.00 machine .depends also if 2 phase or 3 phase elec service ,and which one you have 3 phase can be expensive to convert over to 110 volt .and tooling is a issue is it common morse taper chuck or collet type chuck?

That is tuff I have to learn about. What kind of repair cost could I be looking at? Are there newer parts I should refit this one with?
