Project "Wreck" Begins

I just got my hands on 2 Pontiac Fieros. This is another one of those V8 Fiero projects. The power plant is going to be an LS1, and the tranny is going to be a 6-speed from a G6 GTP. The tranny's already ordered and shipped. I'm still looking for an LS1 block/assembly. Anyways, just thought I'd post.

And if anyone needs any Fiero parts - from body panels to trunk arms - let me know... I probably have 2 of everything.

Here's some pics:

i'm assuming you're using the t-56 manual trans, i don't think gm has put the 6spd auto in to many of their cars yet. post lots of pics please.

The burning was only an issue with the 4-bangers. Genital Motors had a misprint saying to fill with 3qts oil instead of 4.5qts. A rod would end up spinning, and the motor caught fire. I place half blame on GM and half on owners for not double-checking.

And no, the T56 is a longitudinal tranny - won't fit. The F40 from the '06-'07 Pontiac G6 GTPs are "the only affordable" transverse 6-speeds that can handle V8 torque, and also bolt up to an LS1 block at the same time.

Yeah; those body kits are pretty ***** if you ask me.

The tow truck driver that picked up these cars for me is a real tool. He kept saying "if you're gonna put a V8 in it, why wouldn't you put a Lambo kit on it?" He's a rice-lover anyways. He has a 747 Acura Integra (looks like an airplane), as well as a 747 Neon, & a 747 Subaru. They all look ridiculous and carry the stereotypical non-finished/cracked body kit look. As long as it looks ridiculous and/or stupid, this dummy wants it.

I like the Fiero style and I don't plan on changing it.

Well, I pulled the motor on the V6 junker & got it ready for scapping. It is perfectly legal to tow a car on a snowmobile trailer, right? Anyway, some pics... The last one is my brand new 6-speed tranny for "Project: Wreck."
