neutral drop?

my friend got a call from his 16 year old son the other night. he told his dad that their 04 envoy had broken down and he didn't know why. at the shop they said the trans was trashed and the rear end gears had blown though the front and rear side of the differential housing

. any other explanations?

have him inspect the wheel wells for recent rubber buildup. and yeah, that's pretty weak, i've done some HARD burnouts with all sorts of old klunkermobiles and never broke anything.

my favorite was a 50 foot rollback with an 87 dodge omni. who knew a stock 2.2 could smoke tires like that haha. stupid county recently paved over my beautiful double J's.
