I just scraped a 302 before I saw these and then when I showed a friend these photos, he said he could have used his plasma cutter to remove most of it by cutting into the water jacket. We figured we could then use a small grinder for the rest.

yeah that is what I was thinking... Cutting the block out via the water journals and grinding it down. I think I'd have to cut out the heads too. That is a lot of weight to be picking up.
