Unhappy The wife is almost home.

Well she took a trip to Iowa and she's just about to get here there goes the end of my vacation. Plus to top it off I have been having the shacks because my truck has been down so long and my busted well I have $21.00 dollars to my name right now. My brother said he going to put some money in my bank account so that I can get it fixed but I want to get my son to replace it. He just removed the bad starter from our older MPV it only took him two months to get at it and I told last night if he didn't do it today he was going to have to move out since he's 22 and he has no job and he lives here for free. So tomorrow im going to get it warrantied out for a new one. But I still want my truck on the road I guess im going to have to tell him the same thing about getting my fuel pump on.
Be good! GMC

AT 22 and doesn't have a job? By that time, I had been working for 10 years, and buying my own stuff...... I'd say get the work out of him, or he can find a place of his own...... I was kicked out a couple times during teen years, so I know how it feels, and I still say, GIT ER DONE!!

Well I have been telling him to get out but he doesn't but this time I said if you don't do what I say im going to call the law to get you out of here. You see the wife has him spoiled him rotten but now some other things are happening to where if he messes up it's going to go super bad for him. I hate to be a hard bu tt but he needs to see what real life is about your like me I started to work at a early age and once I started working I was on my own I had to buy my own school clothes and so on I even had a car payment at the age of 16 you see my GTO cost me $900.00 dollars but my dad wouldn't lend me the money so my mom got me a loan at this small loan company and talk about it costing me more money boy did it, I even had to have full coverage insurance so I learned what payments were at a young age. Well the wifes home but will see what happens with him I already told her that if she didn't like the way that im with him they could both hit the road. I guess im so bitter because he has even raised his hand to me and im disabled well im not in a wheel chair thank GOD but I have five bad disc. And with the wife she always sides with him even if he's wrong and he knows it so that's what has given both of us a lot of problems. Sorry for boring some of you but im just venting.
Be good! GMC
PS-I get along better with you girls than with them.

i dont care how enraged i got when i was living at home, i NEVER raised a hand to my father (or my mother, but thats kinda a gimme). my brother did once- didnt actually swing, but raised his fist- my dad was so bewildered he didnt know what to do. i grabbed my brother and beat the living daylights out of him, and told him if he ever raised a fist to dad again i'd break his neck. after the beating he got, he believed me. i told him if he felt the need to take a swing at someone, he should come to me and i'd straighten him out.
sorry, im sure this isnt helpful to your situation... but your story made me angry and i thought i'd share my experience. i don't have any kids, so i can't really comment on what i think you should do. sounds like you're caught between a rock and a hard place. you'll find a way out buddy, hang in there.

Raise a hand to my Dad growing up? Yeah, and I'd be part of a building foundation in Jersey City. My dad was 6'2", 225lbs and worked construction (family business) right up until the day he died, at 72 years of age.

Respect for others was a big issue in my family, and disrespect for someone was just about the only thing guaranteed to earn you a whooping. I was the same way with my kids when they were growing up. Not doing your chores, lying, etc., those kinds of things earned you punishment and loss of privileges (I used to give exercise as punishment - didn't do your chores - 25 push ups - then do the chores) and the absolute worst was disrespect for a teacher. My kids were told that I didn't care what else it said on their report cards, as long as I know they did their best (and I made sure they got help when they ran into problems) but coming home with less than a satisfactory "Shows respect"...? Might as well just head over to the recruiting station and enlist, because your life at home was gonna be just like boot camp until that next report card came home.
