I used to be the same way mbean, but in this day & age, if you can find a decent girl and everything else is good, then you take her what ever she drives. The trick is, after she been around awhile and you know she's a keeper, then you buy her a new truck. BUT, since you are buying, you buy what breed you want. And i'll bet you, she'd drive it and be happy with it is, especially if got her leather seats with butt warmers.

All depends what you are using a truck for Bama Baby Girl, becasue a Chev/GMC does BEAT a Big Bad Ford all day long right off the showroom floor for years and years if you are talking a drag race. I have had both and have both to this day. Fords are sleds compared to GM trucks and the GM trucks have always gotten further on a gallon of gas too. Ford also makes misleading claims that the F150 has outsold any other truck brand in its class for I think its 21 years straight. They may have outsold Chev or GMC trucks, but FoMoCo has NOT outsold GM trucks in the F150 Class ever.

That is true, but Ford is pretty good on durability. I'll always miss my chevy though, I didn't have it very long but I loved it lol

Durability If you are carrying a heavy load. Ford makes a good work truck for Chassis strength and stronger brakes. But I think GM beats them in everything else. Comfort, Features, Speed, MPG. So for the average daily driver user, and occasional boat or ATV trailer pulling I like GM. As you may notice, my Box Van is a Ford, and I would not have one in a GM chassis. That truck gets worked hard when its used. I have had it for 11 years, other than oil changes, I have replaced the starter and the battery once. Not bad for 11 years, but it also does not get driven much at 7-9 mpg. It only has 168,000 miles on it and the only thing still original as far as powertrain is the 460 engine and it runs like new. The trans and rear end have been rebuilt before I bought it from Ryder. Ryder was good about maintaining their trucks and why I bought from them.

I'll take your word on it since I don't know much about trucks, but my grand dad has never bought anything but Ford, all he needs is durability though
