just trying to find out some info. What is better in the snow front wheel drive or rear wheel drive?

if they both have applicable snow tires there about the same. again depends on application.

Depends on where the weight is. FWD has the advantage of the weight of the engine and tranny.

If the guys who design 'em had to take one home, use it every day for 2 years, and do all the maint and repairs themselves, cars would have a button on the dash to change the oil, filters & plugs.

Front wheel drive is great in the snow if you get the right tires. I drive my FWD Jetta TDI in NY winters & no problem. I have Bridgestone Blizzak tires on it.

I used to drive my 2wd isuzu pickup in the snow. Even with snow tires & weight in the bed, it was downright scarry at times.

Most people around here get full-time AWD subaru's or Audi's. I went with a FWD because I wanted a diesel.

having driven in snow for many years the answer would be front wheel drive, most people forgot or never driven in rear wheel drive
