| Brad im taking off Saturday to pick it up but I will probably just drive to my sisters house because I have to drop off that furniture with her then return the U-Haul then we were thinking of making a BBQ so im in no real rush to put the A/C on because I have two window units one in my bedroom & one in my sons room so I might see what my electrical bill will come out too since I just paid $510.00 dollars yesterday to TXU electrical company also I still need to get with this brother from church to see what he going to charge me or I will get my buddy that lives next door put it on for me it all depends who's cheaper. What do you think should these windows unit lower my eclectic bill compare to using the central A/C unit? Say Brad im excited that I got this unit all I need now is for my attic unit to give me problems but like I wrote it's a 2001 model so I hope it will last a long time also the outside unit is a 3.5 ton and the attic unit is a 4.0 ton unit they said it should be more efficient that way when I bought the whole system back then. Thanks! GMC PS-I waiting on the wife to get home she went to NASA Space Center to apply for a JOB I hope she gets it I can use help here paying some bills and like I wrote im waiting on her to get here because were going to Alvin to have some breakfast at some Mexican restaurant. |

| normally the evap coils are measured in a range. 2.5 ton to 4 ton unit. as for electricity, i would not foresee your bill going down much at all. that outdoor unit probably pulls 20 amps and the indoor unit probably pulls 8. one indoor unit, depending on size, can pull the 20 amps. now you have 2. 40 amps worth of window units versus 28 amps worth of central heat and air. 230V X 28A = 6440 Watts 230V X 40A = 9200 Watts it could go either way depending on size of the window units and if it has the energy saving devices in it. i tried the same thing once and got the same size bill. |
