wish i could help but you are facing the same problem millions of other are facing at the moment. if you do side work of any kind, sell yourself there. normally, i can keep myself somewhat busy on side jobs.

Sorry about what's going on. If you have a power spray washer start to clean people homes that might be dirty also you can show them how good there sidewalks and driveways would look if you show them a small area of before and after say even some smart convenient stores driveways. How about delivering the paper just go to a place and try to sell yourself like tell them say I really need a job and im willing to do anything just to make money to feed my family. What about joining the arm forces?
Good luck! GMC
PS-Go around looking for scrape medal make some cat scratching post even things like Mud makes to put flowers in and so on. I wish you all the luck buddy.

vansdonk is on a distinguished road
If you were in NW Washington; Pensacola, FL; Jacksonville, FL; or Lake City, MI, I would have work for you to do on 3 homesteads and one 50 acre piece of property that needs to be taken care of. Also, I have 2 trucks and lots of parts in WA that need to be installed, yards mowed, moss scraped off roofs, kids need to be tutored, supper needs cooked, and I need some one to do beer runs for me on the weekend. I have only found one person that is willing to do all of this and he's gone overseas 9 months out of the year.

Yikes, Thats a long commute Wyley, from Arlington to Houston. Obviously you are willing to relocate I take it? Or do you just go to Houston for the interview, but will be working local to Dallas area? Good Luck with whatever the case may be. Honestly it's tough everywhere. I kid you not, I am working 5 jobs at the same time right now to get caught back up. There is a thread somewhere around here, I was talking about being 3 months behind on the house payment. Rather than going backwards, I have made progress. I am now only 2 months behind, by making 2 payments, one on the 5th, one on the 15th and I am hoping to have another ready to post by the 30th which will be next months payment, and another about 20 days from then putting me at only 1 mo behind. Christmas around the corner too, so hoping to hold it at the 1mo behind, get past Christmas then be current by Feb 1st. Slow progress, but I am feeling thankful. With 5 jobs, No social life to speak of at all. Probably why I spend to much time here on the forum. It is my social life for the time being.

What type of job is it? Look on www.craigslist.org also what type of work have you been doing maybe I can hook you up somewhere do you have any training. PM me my niece knows of this job finding company that might be able to help you. For a while there they had her working at BP chemicals and they wanted to keep her full time but she found a better paying job if you have worked at a plant before that would be good there is a lot of plants over here. I got my nephew into an electric plant he making good money but he was in the Navy and he knew all about turbines not only the mechanical but also the electrical.
Good luck! GMC
PS-I didn't know that you could relocate.

Well the job is maintance at an oil refinery. Not just a "work for six months until i find something better" but a REAL JOB. Really the only circomstances is that i would have to move to that area inorder to get it. My Dads family lives down there so I would have a place to stay for a few months while i got on my feet but they don't have internet there so id had to get a wireless card or something. IF heaven forbid anything should happen to my truck I could take it to galviston Island where my uncle mike has any tool you can immagine(except the scan tools) even has a crane(not a engine puller but an f-wing CRANE). The interview itself is is houston but i think the actual job is in Pasadena. I have no idea what the pay is or benefit or nothing. All i know is that its a job.
