| When you finally get to the step of pulling the lower intake as pictured above in the first pic. The intake comes off FIRST, ![]() MAKE SURE YOU MARK THE THE PUSHRODS THEY ARE DIFFERENT LENGTHS!!!!!! then the pushrods SECOND and then the intake gasket itself.

| and don't forget the rtv! also keep an eye on the rear cover gasket, sometimes they slip out just a little and create an oil leak( as my brother found out the hard way).

| Thanks I'll keep that in mind. I did do that on a chrysler 3.3 in the vans and it was a pain.

| Does anyone know if the intake bolts go into any water passages? They have a bunch of gunk on them but I can't tell if that is just gunk or teflon. Oh and does anyone know the torques specs. When I pulled the lower intake the bolts WERE JUST barely hand tight. Didn't take much to break them loose(maybe that is why it was leaking).

| Don't know the torque specs, but I did want to remind you that everything should be retorqued after the first hundred miles or so.
__________________ If the guys who design 'em had to take one home, use it every day for 2 years, and do all the maint and repairs themselves, cars would have a button on the dash to change the oil, filters & plugs. |

| OEM would have had a non harding threadlock/sealer on them That is not the way it left the factory, someone did a botched repair!
