Visa credit card scam?

just got a call my mother picked up(she thought i was still gone) from someone saying they were from visa through Omaha, Nebraska. i called the number on the back of my card and made an excuse that i wanted to sign up for online statements and had the guy go through my account. he never once mentioned anything wrong or suspicious with my account, so it makes me wonder. the caller blocked the number so that makes me wonder even more. if i called my phone company could they pull the incoming calls and give me the number to cross-reference?

i don't see why they couldn't. unless there is some kind of law prohibiting the release of blocked numbers.

mine calls when i make large or many smaller purchases. courtesy call, if you will.
