Question Camero third gen.

Does anybody know what engine size was available in a third gen Camero? I remember this guy had a 1984 or so Camero and on the back bumper it said 2.2 Multi-Port fuel injected engine or something like that I really don't know if that was the right number on the bumper but that car could get after it he gave me a good run on my 1976 Firebird and I have always wondered if the engine was that small or if he had changed out the engine. I'm telling you we were fender to fender till I started to crawl away from him. I do remember that it had some stripes like on the back bumper I don't know if it was just a regular one or a Z-28.

Thanks Leo but I bet that car that I ran had something else in it because she sure could get after it not like some 205 HP engine.
