Oh !!! One of those?? a Hyundai SNotta. You are in luck though. It appears to be external, and is long as far as cylinder goes, which makes me believe even more so that the piston may have come out, or the rod between the piston and clutch fork moved. I think it'll be a simple repair. And likely will not even require replacement.

update on the sonata. it was a blown apart slave cylinder and was external. BIL put it on for them relatively quick and they are on their way again with the cost of some fluid and a 25 dollar cylinder.

Exaclty what I figured on the SNOTA !!! Blew the pison out of the cylider. Hopefully he knows now, you can NOT usually dump a hydraulic clutch.

you are right and in time, he will learn. what i really need to do is give him a crash course. one of these days when an extra pair of hands is needed, i might run over there and nab him. there is another pete at the house, so im told. cant disclose any info at the moment until i take a look at it tonight. u joints, air governer, and a bit of an oil leak that im not excited about. if luck is on my side, it will be gone before i get elected to work on it.

He usually sleeps with a toy truck or some kind of vehicle. Him falling asleep on the carpet while playing with that track was priceless though.
