| Great Work SHD. This is the first of me seeing this thread. I really wish I would learn to weld. Of all the things I know, all the mechanical things I do. Welding be one that I wanted to learn the worst, and I have not done it. If someone was to work with me for about a day on the stuff, I'd probaby have all the confidence in the world to do and then take off like man with some cRAzY ideas. What's even funnier I have 2 welders, 1 of them I have had for 15 years and I bet I have not got but maybe 2 hours of use of it. I did stick weld a trailer tongue onto a trailer I shortened. Look out everyone, a guy sitting here admitting he can not weld, did weld a tongue on a 2 ton trailer. No, it was not pretty at all. But it has held obviously. Sold that trailer years ago. I hope to never be the vehicle behind it if it ever comes loose. I have an old Lincoln Electric 220 V Stick welder that is like brand new, and I bought one of those cheap $149 mig wire feed welders from HF. i am wanting to say I paid under $80 for it, since it was on sale and I used a 20% off coupon. I did unbox it and load the wire though. I welded a screw to a V8 head, just to see if it works. It worked.
