OK members some of you know that I have a 1993 F/S GMC with a nice running 5.7 engine well I just got in from taking my truck to have the oil changed they charge me $11.00 dollars I just take in my oil & filter well the tech seen that my fuel filter was back-wards so he turned it around and all this time that I have been driving it she has had no problems now watch my gas mileage change. And YES my son was the one who put the filter on im not having him do nothing more to my truck because it always cost me more in the long run like the fan going into the radiator, tire falling off of our older van plus many... more things and to boot he's 23 years old. Why me! GMC ![]()

Now, what do you think is going to happen to all the crud in that filter? The stuff it's been blocking, even though it was backwards? By turning it around he's now put all that junk on the other side of the filter, where there's nothing to stop it from continuing on to clog your injectors. What a fracking moron!

I went back with a new one and had him put it on I was thinking the same thing. But I did have him blow though it before he put it on correct just to make sure that wasn't gong to happen and it was clean.

I was bragging about my good running 5.7 above well today I was on my way to buy some batteries and this Dakota was coming up from behind well we got to the stop light and he took off fast I just stayed back but on the next stop light it changed he took off fast again then I gunned it he whipped me that little truck hauled ash. I say he was three trucks ahead of me but he did take off before me but again I know he would have beat me it must have been tuned and it sure sounded like a strong V/8.

OK guys the filter can be put on back-wards but if you look at it close it says in and out so that you one can put it on right I was going to buy a Wix filter but it was $24.95 plus tax so I just bought there house brand which is made by purolator. Now on the Dakota I don't think it was a RT because it was a 4 door truck but it was a two tone color and the guy driving it was older than me he must have been in his mid sixties I bet he felt good whipping up on a GMC truck I can't even say that my truck stayed spinning and it couldn't take off because it didn't like I wrote I didn't gun it from the take off but today I went to buy my front brake pads and it scratched second gear but it sure didn't help me when I was whipping like a red hair step child. And Brad I have said before that Bernie sure has helped us members here. And now Leo the truck still ran the same with the filter on the right way but like I wrote it wasn't on there long I live not even a mile from the shop so I had it changed the same day just to be on the safe side I was also thinking that maybe it would collapse and cost me more money for being cheap even if the old one had no restrictions.
