| Well... since you asked... Before I get started though I just want to make it clear I'm not directing this at anyone in particular, just drivers in general. I have a real problem with people who leave a hitch in place even when it's not being used. Maybe it's the fact that I once ruined a wheel and tire on a rental truck on one. (Pouring rain at night in a parking lot, the hitch was sticking out a full 12" from the bumper and everything was painted flat black, including the bumper, the truck, the hitch and the ball, and the idiot hadn't even pulled all the way into the parking spot) Or maybe it's the number of times I've whacked my shins on a hitch walking around a vehicle, or maybe it's because of all the idiots who have to pull through a parking space into the next one, so they're facing out and don't have to back up to leave - but never seem to pull far enough forward to get the dang hitch out of the space behind them. Or it could be a combination of all of the above. If you ask them, I bet 50% of them have not towed anything since the day they put the hitch on three years ago. And the majority of the rest of them might tow a boat trailer 2-3 times a year. Very, very few people actually tow a trailer every day, or even once a week. You can usually tell, just from looking at it, that the hitch doesn't get much use (bright chrome without a single scratch or bit of wear on it, or so covered with rust you can barely tell it was ever shiny to start with, and never any sign of grease on it) so why leave it on there? With a receiver hitch it takes, at the most, 30 seconds to pull the bar and stick it behind the seat or in the bottom of a tool box. Call this a pet peeve of mine, but it really, really bugs me.

| Well driving in Houston traffic it really wouldn't hurt to have one with the crazy drivers here in bumper to bumper traffic and if someone gets that close to my truck there just not paying attention and where my truck is parked is my driveway with my tailgate down so that I can sit down when I go outside to smoke. And for towing I used it twice in two months. And I don't have full coverage insurance on my truck and here there is a lot of people not carrying insurance so my truck has a little protection in the back. |

| I like the idea that is pretty cool. Can't say I would run out and by one seeing as how I only have my truck on the road for a max of 30 minutes a day (divided by 2) cause I only use it to go to and from work. So that lessens my chances and on the weekends we use the wifeyes truck.
