I agree maybe cause most of the guys here are competent to fix things rather than band ad like you said pulling the p trap is easy enough.

I worked for 8 years as maintenance for a large apartment complex, and you had to fix it right. I have seen drains where the resident used some of that magic in a bottle an melted the ABS pipes and made the clog worse, had to replace drains.

we have some of that monster juice too. only rated for cast iron drains but will clear it out REAL fast. caution, wear gloves. product contains acid. caught one person trying to pour it down a PVC tube once and luckily caught them before they succeeded.

I at one point in time worked at a theater local here and someone decided to start pouring near empty chemicals down the drain in the janitors closet, they got all light headed and almost past out and when I walked by it almost brought me to my knees. I had to tell the two jack...es to get out of there, had to help one actually walk out. KIDS have no clue trust me I was there age but I am in the higher percentile. Anyway what is it sulfate gas or which ever it is when you mix bleach and something else. well the gas started moving through the rest of the theater make some people really weak and sick. They just opened the back door in hopes to clear it out. Crazy time.

Ok so I went with the bleech down the drain seems to hav worked on the sink got rid of the smell too. now as far as the shower, the water doesn't come up as high out of the drain but it is sill slow to drain. So the next step is to use I think it is called a snake?
