Dr's Results

Was in to see Doc today about the issues I posted about a couple of weeks ago. SHD reminded me that I haven't given an update so here goes. I have arthritis in hands, lower back, hips, knees. I have been on lots of steroids and NSAIDS to get inflammation down. I do feel better, just not sleeping good yet. I am way too young for this stuff(33). I still passed out physical fitness test with flying colors, but now can't walk very well. He told me flat out it was from too many years of hauling around heavy aircraft tires and tool boxes and such. But I'm good and I try not to let it slow me down. My mom is handicapped from 6 fused vertibrae and she was told it was due to too much heavy lifting when she was younger. So, I guess I'm better off than her. But I caution all: IF IT'S HEAVY, ASK FOR HELP!!!! Don't just do it because you can. Ok, I'm done venting about medical issues. Work is done and I'm going home.

sorry to hear about what was probably already known. only good thing i have found about arthritis is the sensitivity to weather conditions. i can be right more often than the weather man about incoming cold fronts. i do hate that 33 is all that you have made before your body has been torn up with it. at this point, i only have RH in knees. dont know how well you are going to be when you reach 50s and 60s. hopefully, you will find something that eases the mind and pain with time.

Sad to hear for all of us Gimps. Sorry guys to sterotype us like that, but that is what I feel like. I had my first severe back pain at age 22. Was in bed for about 6 days, getting up only to crawl to the bathroom. I do mean litteraly. Never really had another sever spell until I was 29 although some bad back pain from 22-29, just not to where it kept me from walking. The episode at 29, almost 30, ended up in off work for over 18 months, therapy, therapy and more therapy, until finally surgery, then rehab. So I do know what you mean by to young Vans. Now I am 43 and serveral other ailments too. Arhtriits, scar tissue, nerve damage, and ruptured disks at Lumbar, Thorasic and Cervical levels. But hey, I got good news. Mine is sticking to nerve damage, and not going interior to the spinal cord, so no fear of paralysis. Just severe pain and numbness. JeemC, you need another Dr. You gotta do it. That is ******* ridiculous. I am by far, NOT an Obama fan, but its crud like this is the ONLY reason why we need gubment heathcare.

Brad, you aren't one of us Gimps, I think you need to delete your post on this thread. Only gimps allowed to post here. If you don't have more perscription bottles than you do canned food items in your house, then you need to leave. !!! OK, I was kidding. But wasn't about having more pill bottles than can goods. If you seen my master bathroom vanity. You'd know what I mean and think I was pharmacist. I am sure those who have the issues will agree. You would think its bad enough a person has to deal with the issues themselves, but then add the side affects to the meidication you take on top of that too. It always cracks me up, my pain meds, muscle relaxants, always say, causes drowsiness. Then anti inflams, steroiods and all the others, then you wonder all this crud causes drowsiness, then why the *&$@ can't I sleep?
