Kinda cool, got 2 differant answers and both going in the right direction for sure. 1st correct answer Cz hit on a bit. It was an inventor. Mud hit on Henry Ford which is the auto related #2 correct answer, but Ford improved or perfected it. Glad to see we have at least 2 people not cheating and playing fair. Cuz I would be 100% certain the answers would be on the internet if someone wanted to cheat and search. I just remembered the stuff from way back cuz it interested me.

What colors were available in the cars Henry made when the first assembly line was made?
Heres some info during WW-2 in California they painted big a big tarp to look like if there was houses over an area where the US was making planes so if our emmies would fly over that area it would look like just a regular neighbor hood. I heard about this on the history channel.

Cool info on the tarp. I have heard of similar things ,but not that one. If I had to guess, I am thinking FORD only made Black cars. That is all I have ever seen anyway. Black and nothing else. Wait come to think of it, I am thinking I had seen a dark hunter Green at one time too. Maybe that was not original though.

The original model T which I think was the first one off the line was black.

I am certain it was black. Question was, What colors were offered. I am thinking Black and Black only. But sure as I say that, Green was available too. I am sure it was not many. I think I will stick with Black and Black only. Final Answer !!! No wait, let me use my phone a friend lifeline. No, save that one too. OK, Black Only !!! Final Answer !!!

Gee, I'm surprised you aren't familiar with the famous old quote of Henry Ford's, "You can have your car in any color you want, as long as it's black."

I'm wondering if I should spill part of this answer or wait for more guesses. Now that 1 person did already suggest Henry Ford, and told it was wrong. The big one is out of the way. Most people do think it was Henry Ford who invented the assembly line. I have a feeling many and most of you will be very suprised to know who it actually was. The 1st correct answer reffering to manufacturing is non auto related. The 2nd correct answer is Auto related. Whenever anyones wants hints, I think I have a few. Not sure how much they will help though.

Famous out-of-context quote...
That only applied to one year but it lived on in rep.
I know cuz I was there at the time
(trying to buy my son a car.)
