| then i guess i will come out as well. my grandmother was full blooded Korean. my grandfather, who served in the Korean war, well, you know how that story goes. dad was born over there and came to the US shortly after he was born. i dont normally recognize this but recognize always that i am an american just like everyone else that resides in this country. that is why we were called the melting pot. |

| The Korean war brough many Korean woman to US for that exact reason you mention Brad. I know a guy a few years older than I, his neigbor was in Korean war, and brought a bride home with him. Well, after he got hooked up with her, then after getting thru the red tape, he brought her over shortly after he came home. Married her. Some 20 or mre years later, this Korean ladies bio daughter come to visit her bio mom in the US for a month. The daughter made good buddies with my friend who lived next door. They ended up getting married and she got to stay in US. Korean mom could not have been happier for a change. My firend and the daughter ended up having a few litters of kids too. I about got a biggo butt kick'n once by him. Actually, not, but a huge laugh. He called her Yobo all the time. So I called her Yobo one time too, thinking that was her name, since we had never been introduced. Rude friend ehhh? All I ever heard her call was Yobo by him, or mom by the kids. Found Yobo is like, honey, sweetheart, babee or whatever. I said that he was taking a swig of his Vodka that he always handeled well. He spit it out and choked when I said that. She was busting up laughing. But come to find out, no he wasn't choking on his Vodka, he stareted to laugh and spit it out.

| I had a uncle that faked to not go to WW2 but they took him aways well after he did his time he said im going to join the reserves so that I can get a little check well the Korean war came along and they took him again well again he did his time and said now im out for sure before they sent me again in fact all of my dads brothers including him were drafted to go to WW2 all at once I bet my grandma was super worried. My dad was the only one that was wounded he was first scout for almost two years in the front lines in Germany and he was one 18 when he went in. I'm so glad that this thread has turned out so good with no haters about what I wrote but again time will tell I already had 5 people get off of my friends list. JUST KIDDING. He! He! GMC |

| Shouldn't be any haters anyway. And if there is, so what !!! That is their own problem. It is America, as Brad said, its the melting pot. Aka the bread basket I have heard it called too. I'd be willing to bet, the largest majority of us on the forum are all mutts anyway. Anyone I do happen to dislike, has nothing at all to do with their heritage, color of skin, or shape of eyes. Also being in America, you do have that right to dislike someone for their heritage if you want to be so shallow, provided you are not out hurting people or causing harm to them.

| Vidor GMC, What incident are you talking about in Vidor. I grew up in Gist (south of Buna) the closest walmart/good grocery store was in Vidor). My mom lived in Orangefield for a while before moving in with us. I promise you, I have no half crushed cars in my yard and no dogs chained to them. Others in my family might though. LOL But I would like to know if this incident in withing the last 2-3 years or alot older than that.

| Well I can honestly say I am a mutt which is why when ask what is my ethnicity I say "I am an AMERICAN" they say "well so am I but I am Hispanic American or a African American." So I say "Were you born in America?" "Well yes." "Then you are just plain old American no anything in front of it" I wonder sense the British mostly populate the south of africa if a caucasian, British desendant person were to come to America technically they are African American right? Any who I have to admit I too am a RACIST like HOTROD, I guess the first step is to admit that I have a problem Now that I think about it I am an Arizonian 3rd generation born here so my heritage is Arizonian. ![]()
