yea i just loved driving a 18 wheeler out there , your on the freeway in the truck lane , bamg the truck langes to another lane , then back , and the scale houses at the bottom of every big mountain just looking foe smokey brakes , and don't ever go out there with skinny rubber .

Hey shd, you reminded me of the part about that bridge
that every long trucker would know.
That it's the end, the very leftist end, of I-80
I-80 is no more after crossing.
I have no idea where the other end is,
I don't cross the Mighty Miss without cause.

BTW there are 4 directions from there that lead to scales.
Nearest is 40 mi and only open 7am-3pm.
Other 3 are 60+ mi away,
one of which is just when they feel like it.
3 outa 4 ARE at the bottom of steep valleys.
In CA those are not mountains, too little.

Actually kinda funny when I pass them in a car or p/u.
Have to fight the wheel so I don't pull in automatically.

it was sooo long ago , but i think it was the san francisco- oakland bridge
but don't hold it against me , back then i was the king of drop & hook , in drop yards , barely ever went into cities or made deliveries .

Most truck traffic to SF is that bridge.

North is GG bridge to wine country.
South is mostly residential on the pennisula,
for 50mi, until the land of high tech.
West is kind of a challenge.
